ALTEA

One of the most beautiful cities of Costa Blanca, located on a hill.

Cobbled paths and stairs lead to the center of the white city. The old part of Altea (the center of the city) is located around the Catholic Church of Nuestra Señora del Consuelo (the symbol of Altea) on the top of the hill. The beaches of Altea are mostly stony and pebbly, so in the peak of the tourist season they are not crowded with people unlike Benidorm. However, this does not mean that it is absolutely impossible to swim here, but it is still worth using a special rubber footwear, which is easy to find in stores near the beach. Altea is known by its low white buildings (not higher than 4 floors), but along the promenade you can see modern houses. Today the life of this city consists in tourism. Fisheries and agriculture have survived only to a small extent.

ALBIR

Albir is the absolute opposite of Benidorm. It is a very small and cozy town with a balanced way of life. This city is well-known for its beach with perfectly round pebbles and azure clear water. The basic population of Albir is represented by citizens of northern Europe (Holland, Norway, Denmark, Belgium, Great Britain and France). Albir is characterized by low residencial buildings and hotels, as well as an udeal combination of modern architecture with traditional Mediterranean style. Accommodation and rest in Albir is ideal for those who want to have a rest from problems and fuss of mega cities. However, this does not mean that the complete isolation of the city, quite the contrary, it is close to all theme park, just 15 minutes from La Marina shopping center and discos of Benidorm.
